轉世投胎的建築藝術品-麥金塔生前遺作重現格城

麥金塔生前國際競圖作品, 在他辭世後80年, 由他的藝術學校學生在他家鄉-格拉斯哥-按圖重建!

19th century Scottish architect - C.R. Mackintosh left a great architectural legacy to his home town Glasgow, including his unrealized "House for an Art lover" international competition that he won but never put into real brick and mortar during his life. He fellow students in Glasgow School of Arts recreated his works some 80 years later in Bellahouston Park, south of Glasgow city center. The tells a city's character built upon their people and their persistence for great beauty.

說到台灣建築師王大閎之前已拆的自宅建築, 將要異地重建, 在外國的案子也有, 讓我想起格拉斯哥的藝術家兼建築師-麥金塔!

麥金塔在蘇格蘭地一大城-格拉斯哥-留下無數件19世紀時期珍貴的作品, 整座都市就像是他作品的露天展覽館! 但其中這一件作品"House for an Art Lover" 最特殊, 因為這不是他生前, 監督下完成的作品! 當年參加國際競圖得了獎, 但當時並沒有實現真的建築案, 不久後, 他也潦倒在法國辭世!

格拉斯哥藝術學校(Glasgow School of Art) 的晚輩學生建築師們在他離開了80年後, 在格城市中心南方的一座公園, 完成了他生前的不朽, 依當時的手繪稿, 把建築活生生地從平面圖中站起來!

這說明了城市因為他的人民而偉大，都市的美，也是因為人的堅持而美, 不是嗎!

我2002年回格城, 其中一個行程就是特別再回去看看他的這個作品! 去感受他對空間美感的執著, 也感受格城人比"藝術浪漫建築"還浪漫的情調與性格!
